Gloriika hemangioma journey (propranolol)

Written by alex on Tuesday, April 17th, 2012 in Allergies.

When Gloriika was 16 days old a little red mark appeared on her right cheek. I knew that it was not just a regular rash . When she was about 5 weeks old it started to grow.It was diagnosed as hemangioma (temporary birthmark) We had about 7 laser treatment and 9 steroid injections in about 8 months period, but it would not help her much. We seen many many specialists , but nothing was helping. We started to see Dr.Allison Vidimos in Cleveland Clinic hospital, because she was most experienced doctor with hemangiomas around here . She began to do painful laser treatments when my daughter was 3 months old, but it was not helping infect it was growing more rapidly. It was blocking her vision, and it grew a little inside of Gloriika’s nose. I was always asking if there any, and I mean anything else that we could do, and she was keep saying “no”, well except steroids by mouth which we did say no to ! But thanks God we found dr. Kate Puttgen in John hopkins hospital. And when I called dr.Vidimos to ask if she knew about this treatment, she sad that she did knew, but did not think that we had really bad case of hemangioma to do a propranolol treatment, because “she sad” propranolol has really bad side effect and they just had conference with cardiology professor and he tolled them not to use this medicine, only in extreme cases. So then I started to do my research, and went to see a cardiologist in cleveland clinic, and cardiologist sad that this medicine has no side effects on

Vocal Training: How to Heal a Hoarse Voice

Written by alex on Sunday, April 15th, 2012 in Allergies.

Learn how to heal a hoarse voice in this vocal training tutorial. Expert: Cari Cole Video transcript: Hi I’m Cari Cole. I’m a celebrity vocal coach and artist development expert. And I help artist find their voice, craft their music, and create successful music careers. I’ve worked with Donald Fagen from Steely Dan, Courtney Love from Hole, I’ve worked with the band Journey. I’m going to teach you how to be a better singer and performer So over the years of training singers, I’ve become an somewhat of an expert, in particular with healing hoarse voices. So for instance I get a lot of referrals from doctors, from ENT voice doctors, to help singers sing more correctly. Often they’ve come to me and they’ve come into some kind of problem. So the first thing that I always do is talk about how the body is the instrument and how the vocal instrument is inside the body. So the state of the body to some degree determines the state of your voice. So if you’re not sleeping, if you’re living a rock star life style and staying up late at night, eating late at night and all these things make a difference in how the voice sounds. So we have to look at all these things when we’re healing a hoarse voice. Number one I would say go and get yourself a vocal coach. It’s important to learn how to sing correctly and you won’t have those problems. Really within a week or two, students I work with don’t have those problems. We can resolve them really quickly. Sometimes there are other systemic

Written by alex on Friday, April 13th, 2012 in Allergies.

Well, this is my first cover acapella… i never sing in this way ’cause i’m very insecure :S and… sorry! but the allergy still has my stuffy nose. Anyway, i hope u like it, it’s a difficult song but is amazing. ADELE – SOMEONE LIKE YOU I heard That you’re settled down That you Found a girl And you’re Married now I heard That your dreams came true I guess she gave you things I didn’t give to you Old friend, why are you so shy? It ain’t like you to hold back or hide from the lie. I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited, But I couldn’t stay away, I couldn’t fight it, I had hoped you’d see my face, And that you’d be reminded that for me it isn’t over, Never mind, I’ll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you, too, Don’t forget me, I beg, I remember you said, “Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead,” Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead, yeah, You know how the time flies, Only yesterday was the time of our lives, We were born and raised in a summer haze, Bound by the surprise of our glory days, I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited, But I couldn’t stay away, I couldn’t fight it, I had hoped you’d see my face, And that you’d be reminded that for me it isn’t over, Never mind, I’ll find someone like you, I wish nothing but the best for you, too, Don’t forget me, I beg, I remember you said, “Sometimes it lasts in love, But sometimes it hurts instead,” Nothing compares, No worries or cares, Regrets and
