I am severe social phobic & I’m trying to find anything that helps me with that before I go with antidepressants.

I have been told that Hypnotherapy is good for social phobia, is that true? What is it of, could you explain me? How long does it take? How much times do I have to watch the specialist etc etc? How much does it cost?
